Robotzoo

robotzoo Challenge #51: Can It Go Out To The Front Yard?

We get asked a lot whether the mower can go by itself from the back yard out to the front yard. Most houses have a back yard and a front yard, so it’s a reasonable question.

The Wombat Junior, Wombat Joey II, and Wombat III can all be programmed to follow the boundary wire, and then leave it at certain designated points.

Our customer had an injury, and could not carry the mower. So we made the Wombat Joey II follow the boundary wire down the side path, and then start mowing. Problem solved!

Of course, the side gate had to be open and no obstructions placed in the pathway. The gap here was narrower than we would have liked, but the clever mower still made its way out to the front yard.
